Busy with Baans, bangers and boats

Here we are staying at Baan Manali in Ko Pha ngan and my rentals are here. Two has become four.

We are staying on a quiet part of the island with our very own beach and hammocks a-hoy. We caught up with each other on our first night over a huge Thai meal at 'meeting place'.

The next day we rented a small 4x4 to look around the island. We visited five beaches in total! Saw a Chinese temple and many waterfalls with King Ramas initials on. The roads here are not as good as else where we've been in Thailand (hence the banger instead of bike) however they got even worse when the heavens opened. Dan did a stirling job driving us all safely around though it was touch and go up some hills (you can imagine what my Mums face was like)

The island seems pretty chilled out despite its famous full Moon parties, also the people here are really friendly more so than the South West Islands.

We thought we'd make the most of our time here and today we all went in an all day boat trip to the Ang Thong Marine national park. A collection of 42 islands that are protected. After a bit of snorkelling with the parrot fish amongst many others, we got off at our first beach. Mum and Dad went kayaking and then we all walked to a lovely blue lagoon. Back on the boat we visited another island and hiked again to see the caves and views of all the islands. I'm surprised by the little differences you can see in each place in Thailand, even the monkeys here are cuter.

Now we are back at our bungalows awaiting our meal. It's nice to have company but these old folk are slowing us down. After two days of zooming around they've requested a day of chilling so we are staying here an additional night then hopefully they'll be ready to uproot.
