Trams, a junk and a great view

Our hostel is in Causeway Bay, so this morning we took the tram into Central. Hong Kongs trams are the only double decker trams in the world apparently.

We continued the tram theme and the boarded the Peak Tram which is an old tram that travels vertically up the hill to Victoria Peak to give you spectacular views across the City. As you travel up all the buildings turn to a 45 degree angle it's quite bizarre.

Once back down on sea level, we found our selves in Hong Kong Park, which has a free aviary to tweet in. Then we enjoyed one of our wedding gifts, a trip on a junk. Thanks to BT. A traditional boat that would have criss crossed the islands many moons ago.

Hong Kong has many plush air con'd shopping malls, and later that day we found ourselves in one called 'Elements' so we sat and had our burger dinner by its ice rink to cool down a bit. Finally, we pushed the boat out and decided to enjoy a second wedding present of the day, cocktails in the highest bar in the world at the Ritz-Carlton. We were there for our second viewing of the 'lights show' too. All in all a very good day!
