Never a dull moment

We woke early this morning to check out the market before leaving Phnonm Penh. It was relatively quiet and we purchased more memory cards to capture more memories!

The Mekong Express was the bus we took from the capital city to Siem Reap, due to take six hours.

Unfortunately though we were in an accident as our bus collided with a pick up in the middle of the Cambodian countryside. Thankfully no one was injured and the police turned up after 45mins or so. But it was a tad worrying as we sat waiting and wondering what would happen next. After a wait we were informed another bus had been dispatched from our departure point. It eventually arrived and we all swapped buses and were back on track and arrived safely in Siem Reap, just a few hours late. The accident could have been a lot worse on many levels, so we are feeling grateful to be here.

It's late now, so we've not had much time to explore so far, beyond having dinner. We plan to stay here for six days so plenty of time for adventures.
