Saa wat dii khrap (or kha if you're a girl) - Hello!
Today, after a 'Lucky' breakfast, we sauntered along Mae Haad beach on Koh Tao to a beach bar of Fiz's namesake. After devouring a couple of our new favourite shake drinks, and soaking up our daily dose of sun, we took a leisurely long tail boat to Nangyuan Island nearby.
This is probably one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand, though surprisingly, you don't hear much about it as a tourist before you get to Koh Tao. The island is very small, consisting of 2 peaks with a narrow stretch of sand separating them, creating 3 near-perfect beaches. The water was so clear, we didn't have to look hard to find the parrot and zebra fish (relatives of Nemo apparently) swooning round our feet, waiting for a nibble!
Up at our umpteenth viewpoint, we got an even greater appreciation of the beauty of the island (and the Thailand heat), and to cool off we had a leisurely swim with the fish. Our taxi boat back to the main island has probably ended our short love affair with long tail boats; with waves taller than the boat, we got a good a soaking and white knuckles as we held on for dear life!
Evening has come (it is 9pm as we write this) and as we devour our spicy curries and reflect on what has been one of our favourite islands, we look forward to arriving back at the mainland tomorrow. But what adventures should we expect after another day of travelling?!
Khap kun khrap (Thank you!)
